lead business consultant. Champion
developed the requirements specifications and design details, oversees the overall
project management and is the prime interface to Champion’s client.
Nightstar was responsible for all aspects of the technical design and programming,

Sales Agencies distribute multiple products from multiple
manufacturers through a network of in-house and independent sales representatives

The client was unable to find an acceptable off-the-shelf
customer relationship management or contact management system that met the unique
needs of the sales agency industry; and previously had developed a customized PC-based
software application using on an older version of Microsoft Access.
The original software and database were extremely unstable and unreliable;
and, more importantly, the system was not scalable, a major obstacle for a growing
company.

|
Nightstar is project-managing the end-to-end technical
design, development and testing of a highly customizable web-based sales agency
application for managing suppliers, customers, sales representatives and sales records. Nightstar also provides on-going application
support and hosting, back file conversion and on-going data entry support for the
MST application. The system supports
Puddingstone; and is being launched commercially for other sales agencies and sales
reps.
MST is built on the Microsoft.net technology with a
powerful Microsoft SQL Server database backend for secure and reliable storage of
critical sales, vendor and customer information.
The application offers a wide variety of reporting
and analytics functionality as well as the ability to efficiently import and export
sales and customer data from/to industry standard data formats and applications. Key features include:
